Wendy Poole, 20, was pregnant with her second child when she was strangled to death on the second floor of a housing co-op in Vancouver on Jan. 26, 1989, according to local media reports. A man was acquitted of second-degree murder charges in the case in 1991. He has since died. Vancouver Police say they are no longer actively pursuing Wendy’s file and it’s been years since the family spoke with officers.
