Elham Dashti was two months pregnant when her and her preborn child were killed.
An autopsy found she died of strangulation and massive facial trauma.
Her killer will not be eligible for “full” parole for 25 years. This is a standard sentence for someone found guilty of first degree murder.
In no way did Elham Dashti’s pregnancy come into play as an “aggravating factor” during sentencing.
